Bruce McFee

Bruce McFee is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

Political career

In the 1990s, McFee was chosen for the SNP in the Glasgow City Council. Here he led for a time the fraction of SNP and peaked at the city council elections in 1999 with 71.1 % in his constituency the highest share of votes of all 40 Glasgow City Councils. In the Scottish Parliament elections in 2003 McFee first came to elections at the national level. He stood as a candidate in the constituency of West Renfrewshire to its direct mandate had his party colleague Colin Campbell advertised in vain in the previous Scottish Parliament elections in 1999. McFee missed with a vote share of 25.4 %, well behind the direct mandate of the Labour candidate Patricia Godman. Since McFee, however, was also placed on the Regional Evaluation of the SNP for the election Region West of Scotland on the second rank, he received as a result of the election results is one of three list seats for the SNP in this election region and moved for the first time in the Scottish Parliament.
