Brunswick is recognized by the United States Census Bureau settlement ( Census designed place - CDP) in Cumberland County in the U.S. state of Maine. The area lies in the eastern part of the city ( Town ) Brunswick and has according to the census of 2010 in total 15,175 inhabitants.

Geography

The CDP is located in the eastern part of the city of Brunswick. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 36.4 km ², of which 32.6 km ² of land and 3.8 km ² ( 31.68 %) are water.

Demography

According to the census of 2000, there are 14,816 people, 5,880 households, and 3433 families residing in the city. The population density is 454.7 inhabitants per km ². 95.19 % of the population are White, 0.99% African American, 0.16 % Native American, 1.90 % Asian, 0.04 % Pacific Islander, 0.45 % from other races, and 1.26% mixed race. 1.31% are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Of the 5,880 households 28.1% have children under 18 years. 47.0 % are married couples living together, 8.40% are single mothers, 41.6 % are non-families, 35.3 % consist of single-person households and 16.0% in people older than 65, the average household size is 2, 24, the average family size is 2.92.

21.5 % of the population are under 18 years old, 15.6 % from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 20.2% between 45 and 64, 17.5 % older than 65 is the average age 36 years. The ratio of women to men is 100:89,7, for people older than 18 years, the ratio 100:85,0.

The median household income is $ 38,036, and the median income for a family $ 47,134. Males have a median income of $ 32,088, women $ 25,762.
