Description

Vegetative characteristics

The upright, biennial to perennial, succulent plant reaches heights of growth from 30 to 150 centimeters. The simple, brownish stems are erect or decumbent - erect. The triangular pointed, dark green, pink green to purple-green, brownish-red mottled, fleshy leaves are 15 to 28 inches long and 2-5 inches wide. The stalk comprehensive petioles have a length of 2 up to 5 centimeters. Numerous leaf buds form on the notched leaf margins.

Kalanchoe daigremontiana is very variable in size and color of the leaves.

Inflorescences and flowers

The Vielblütige inflorescence is a loose, Rispige Zyme. The flower stalk is 5-11 mm long. The hanging or splayed flowers are hermaphroditic and cruciform. The four sepals are fused together into a 2.5 to 6 mm long calyx tube which terminates in triangular pointed calyx lobes 3-5 mm in length and 2.2 to 3.6 mm width. The four reddish to purple petals are fused glockig. The corolla tube is 16 to 19 millimeters long. Your obovate, acuminate corolla lobes have a length of 7 to 8 millimeters and a width of 3.5 to 4.5 millimeters. There are two circles, each provided with four stamens; they are attached below the center of the corolla. The upper stamens protrude from the corolla tube. 1.2 to 25 millimeters large anthers are reniform. Systematics and distribution
