Geography

The municipality Bucloc is between 500 and 1000 meters approximately 52 km from Bangued above sea level in the north of the island of Luzon. The rivers Bucloc, Abas and Manicbel and numerous brooks make the natural drainage of the area.

Climate

Events / current situation

Bucloc was hit on 16 July 1990 by an earthquake that devastated large parts of the rural communities. In connection with the unusually early onset of monsoon the soggy soils plunged into countless landslides into the valley and destroyed villages, transport infrastructure and countless travel terraces. Bucloc been and continues to battle area of the New People 's Army (NPA ) with the Philippine army and the militias.
