Bucyrus-Erie
Bucyrus International, Inc. ( NASDAQ: BUCY ) is an American company that manufactures machinery for the mining industry. The company's headquarters is located in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bucyrus also maintains locations in Germany, in Dortmund, Hamm, Kamp- Lintfort, Lünen (HQ) and Wuppertal.
Overview of the company history
The foundation of the company took place in the eponymous Bucyrus (Ohio ) in 1880, but the seat was moved in 1893 to South Milwaukee (Wisconsin ). 1927 the company merged with the Erie Steam Shovel Company, the leading excavator manufacturers of his time, and was out for a while under the name of Bucyrus - Erie.

Products and manufacturing
Bucyrus International was known already in the 19th century for the distribution of steam-powered excavators and construction vehicles.
