Buddy Giovinazzo

Buddy Giovinazzo (born 5 May 1957 Staten Iceland, New York City, USA) is an American writer, filmmaker and director.

Life

Buddy Giovinazzo was born in Staten Iceland, New York, where he spent his childhood. His father is a musician, he and his brother Rick Giovinazzo, who writes the soundtrack for many of his films, grew accordingly musically. Even as a student he began Super8 - making films and music videos. After Combat Shock, which comes as a somewhat mixture of Eraserhead and Apocalypse Now, he turned Between Brothers ( No Way Home), for which he found a backer, thanks to better-known actors such as James Russo, Deborah Unger and especially Tim Roth. Despite this fact, and the narrative and technical quality of this author film he was barely in theaters, and was so careless advertised in Germany of his hire that he went down. Since Buddy Giovinazzo was hardly entrusted in the U.S. with directing, he moved to Berlin, where he published his first novel in German by Verlag Erich Maas and was relatively quickly charged with first directorial work. Carmine Giovinazzo, who as an actor in CSI: has become known to a wider audience NY, is his cousin. This can be seen in Live Is Hot in Cracktown in a supporting role as a junkie.
