BudgeCo

BudgeCo, Inc. was an American computer game company from the early 1980s. The company was founded by Bill Budge, the developer and programmer of the Pinball Construction Set program.

Company History

The operation of BudgeCo consisted only of Budge and his sister. He founded the company in order to market its games Pinball Construction Set and Raster Blaster. The company was founded out of the need to find a way to deliver the games are also at large chain stores. These produced and managed the company's two employees, all individual steps of the production itself: Preparation of media, packaging, financial management, sales, etc. In 1983, the software market increased so much that every company needed a professional sales area. This budgeting could not afford and therefore cooperated with Trip Hawkins, who took over his fledgling company, Electronic Arts (EA ) the distribution of the game. Pinball Construction Set was one of the first great success of EA.

Shortly after this cooperation Budge joined the company BudgeCo what was more of a relief for him, because he was, by its own account, not a marketer but a programmer.
