Buff Bay is a country town in the northeast of Jamaica. It is located in the district ( Parish ) Portland Parish in the County of Surrey, the most fertile region of the island in the river valley of the Spanish River .. There are mainly grown coffee and bananas. To the north it borders on the ocean and west to the Buff Bay River. In the south of the Blue Mountains lie.

2010 Buff Bay had 2719 inhabitants.

Attractions

In the city there are many buildings from the early 19th century. On the seaward side of the city, the Anglican church is named St. George's Parish Church. It dates from the time when Buff Bay was the capital of the parish of the same name. This was divided into the present parishes of St. Mary and Portland.

A few kilometers from the city center lies Crystal Springs, a privately operated Botanical Garden. This is publicly available and a popular destination in Jamaica.
