Bugg

Bugg is a social and competitive dance that is danced in pairs, while there is no fixed choreography, but it is almost entirely improvised. The Bugg comes from the Swing family and is very popular in Sweden. The music can be any kind of pop music in 4/4-time be, the pace is 30-45 beats per minute. International Bugg tournaments are coordinated as a dance sport by the World Rock'n'Roll Confederation ( WRRC ).

Characteristics of dance

For Bugg is no fixed choreography. Only steps to smooth shocks are allowed, acrobatics any form not against it.

Basic steps of the man

The steps of man are free but should harmonize with the step of the lady, the shape and the music. Basic principle is to put your left foot on the 1st or 3rd and the right foot on the 2nd and 4th beat of the measure.

The man leads the lady counter-clockwise around the room. Competition

In each round, including the final, all couples an opening and final dance together minutes (no more than 12 pairs at once). Special procedures for competitions

Minor characters are not allowed. The dance should be performed without breaks or interruptions ( breaks ). Acrobatics, in whatever form, is not allowed. Free versions are permitted if they fit the music. All figures and dance elements must by visual signs, hand or body contact can be made.
