Bunești, Brașov
Bunesti ( German ground village, Hungarian Szászbuda ) is a town in Transylvania, Romania.
Location
The village lies in the Repser little country, a small region on the northwestern boundary of the Kreis Braşov, named after the city Rupea ( Reps ).
History
Within the crown land - a management structure of the Transylvanian Saxons - belonged to the village ground Sighisoara chair, there was part of the so-called "Lower chair ".
In the original by the Saxons coined place Romanians living since the 1960s mainly. After the turn of 1989, the share of the German population decreased rapidly.
In 1992 the census gave 34 people the German nationality on.
During the second half of the 20th century Bunesti developed a comprehensive five villages greater community.
Education, economic and social
The municipality has five kindergartens and five elementary schools. The residents of the community Bunesti mainly deal with livestock, agro- tourism, trade, agriculture and forestry.
Traffic
The village lies on the important for national and international long-distance European route E 60, which takes you from Sighisoara ( Sighisoara ) to Brasov (Kronstadt).
Attractions
On the territory of the municipality is the village Viscri ( German - Weisskirch ), since 1999 a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
