The CABBG had to dismount first time in 2003 from the first division after the Finance Committee of the Ligue Nationale de Rugby had the club denied a license due to financial problems. A year later, the club went bankrupt and was forced to play in the top amateur league Fédérale 1. Finally, the first team of CABBG was combined with that of the local rivals Stade Bordelais (then played in the Pro D2) in March 2006.
