Cabane du Trient

The Cabane du Trient (also Trient ) is a hut of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC ). It is the starting point for tours high in the Swiss part of the Mont- Blanc massif. For experienced hikers, it is easily accessible via the resort of La Breya, Cabane d' Orny and the Glacier d' Orny. It is located on a cliff above the Plateau du Trient ( glacier plateau ) at 3'170 m above sea level. M. of Pointe d' Orny. The cottage, which was built in 1934 and expanded in 1975, has 130 beds and is part of the SAC Section Les Diablerets.

History

The Cabane du Trient replaced the Cabane Dupuis, which had been built in 1906 with the legacy of Mr. Julius Dupius and 1915 increased. This old cabin had 42 beds.
