Calvin Smith Jr.

Calvin Smith (born 10 December 1987) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

In 2007 he won at the North - Central America - Caribbean Championships.

In 2008, he came at the U.S. Trials for the Beijing Olympic Games to fifth place and was subsequently nominated as a replacement for the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

In 2012 he became a U.S. runner-up in the hall and won with the U.S. team at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

Calvin Smith is 1,80 m tall and weighs 73 kg. He graduated from the University of Florida and is coached by Mike Holloway. His father Calvin Smith was twice World Champion over 200 meters and held the world record for the 100 meters.
