History

Today's college was as one of six agricultural schools in Oklahoma, Cameron State School of Agriculture was founded in 1908 as. Was named the school after Evan Dhu Cameron, the first chairman of the school management in Oklahoma. In addition to a Schulabaschluss the school offered since 1927, university courses and was renamed Cameron State Agricultural College. In 1941 the school was finished and offered only a high school education. By law since 1966 a Bacholor 's degree and to give a master's degree in 1988, changed the college in Cameron College around 1974 to get their name in 1971 its present name. The Duncan Higher Education Center in Duncan was founded in 2004 as a satellite campus Cameron University - Duncan affiliated with the university.
