Camp Muir

Camp Muir is a shelter, which was named after the Scottish polymath and Sierra Club founder member John Muir. Camp Muir is located on the volcano Mt Rainier in Washington State in the United States between the Muir Snowfield and the Cowlitz Glacier at an altitude of 3072 meters ( 10,080 ft). The cabin can be used as a base camp to climb to the top and is maintained by the National Park Service.

Camp Muir was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 13, 1991 under the reference number 91,000,176.
