Canada 3000

Canada 3000 Airlines (in short: Canada 3000) was a Canadian airline that offered charter flights in the first place.

History

In 1988, the British Air 2000 under the same name in Toronto, a subsidiary, but the AOC withdrawn immediately prior to flight operations because of massive objections Canadian competitors. Then took over domestic investors, the company completely and called it to Canada in 3000. Thus, it could be included with initially leased Boeing B757 -200 one year later the flight operations.

In the following years, Canada 3000 established as a charter airline in the North American holiday traffic and built the fleet gradually. A first Airbus A320 -200 was adopted in 1993, three years later, a second copy.

For the 1999 summer season 3000 in Canada increased long-haul business, took a first Airbus A330 -200 in the fleet and established the first contacts, inter alia, to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf. Airports in Canada were next to Toronto, and Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and Vancouver.

Following the merger of Air Canada and Canadian Airlines International in January 2001, and the growing competition, including through Air Transat, Canada 3000 came under pressure, then took over the competitors and Royal Aviation occurred initially successful, the national regular services strengthened as a low- cost carriers on.

The terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, turnover decreased rapidly - November 8, 2001, the flight was operating without any apparent sign set on the basis of inability to pay.

Destinations

Canada 3000 flew at the beginning of the classic holiday regions in North and Central America and expanded its route portfolio later to Europe and Australia. In addition, even national compounds were after assuming the rights line was added.
