Canberra Nature Park

As Canberra Nature Park ( engl. Canberra Nature Park ) is called a composite of 30 different protected areas in the Australian capital Canberra. The vegetation ranges from forests to shrub shrubs towards lowland meadows. Prior to the establishment of the Natural Park were many of these areas for grazing, nature now but again left.

The hill on which the city of Canberra are protected by the by the National Capital Authority established National Capital plan overbuilding. They form a scenic background, giving the city a very natural character, which reflects the guidelines of the designed by Walter Burley Griffin redevelopment plan. Among the protected hills include Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, Mount Majura, Mount Pleasant, Russell Hill, Red Hill, Mount Mugga, O'Connor Ridge, Bruce Ridge, Mount Painter, The Pinnacle, Lyneham Ridge, Oakey Hill, Mount Taylor Isaacs Ridge, Mount Stromlo, Mount Arawang, Neighbour Hill, Wanniassa Hill and Narrabundah Hill.

Many of the inhabitants of the city live within walking distance of one of the publicly accessible nature reserves away. These are usually enclosed by a simple wire fence or house fences and gates have; motorized traffic is prohibited. In some of the hillier areas are reservoirs that serve the drinking water supply.
