Canton of Côte Vermeille
The canton of Vermilion is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Ceret, in the department of Pyrenees- Orientales and the Languedoc- Roussillon region. Its capital is Port- Vendres. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 1998, most recently re-elected in 2004, Michel Moly.
The canton is 78.40 km ² and has 13,319 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ), which corresponds to a population density of 171 inhabitants per km ².
