Canton of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin

The Canton of Le Buisson -de- Cadouin is a further breakdown of the arrondissements of Bergerac in the Dordogne in the Aquitaine region of France.

History

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 with the establishment of the departments as part of the then " district Belvès ". With the establishment of the arrondissements on 17 February 1800 the canton was again cut as part of the former arrondissements Bergerac.

Geography

The canton is bordered to the north by the District of Sainte - alvere, on the northeast by the District of Saint -Cyprien and on the southeast by the Canton Belvès, both in the arrondissement of Sarlat- la -Caneda, to the south by the Canton Monpazier, on the southwest by the District of Beaumont -du -Périgord and to the northwest by the Canton Lalinde.

Attractions

Local attractions include a Cistercian convent with Gothic cloister from the twelfth century, the bicycle museum in the Abbey Church, a pilgrim Museum and the bamboo garden of Planbuisson.
