Canton of Lanouaille
The Canton Lanouaille is a further breakdown of the arrondissements Nontron in the Dordogne in the Aquitaine region of France.
History
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 with the establishment of the departments as part of the then " district Nontron ". With the establishment of the arrondissements on 17 February 1800 the canton was again cut as part of the former arrondissements Nontron.

Geography
The canton is bounded on the northwest by the Canton Jumilhac -le- Grand, in the north- east to the Canton of Saint- Yrieix- la -Perche in the arrondissement of Limoges in the Haute- Vienne (Limousin ), to the east by the Canton Lubersac in the arrondissement of Brive- la- Gaillarde in Corrèze (Limousin ), to the south by the canton in the arrondissement of Périgueux Excideuil and to the west by the Canton Thiviers.
