Capcir

The capcir is a comarca of Northern Catalonia in the south of France. The main town is Formiguà ( katal. Formiguera ).

The capcir and the other Comarques in Northern Catalonia were separated as a result of the Pyrenees, Peace of 1659 from the rest of Catalonia and awarded France.
