French Cerdagne

The Alta Cerdanya ( Upper Cerdanya ) is a comarca of Northern Catalonia in the south of France. The capital is Mont- Louis ( katal. Montlluís ).

The Alta Cerdanya and the other Comarques in Northern Catalonia were separated as a result of the Pyrenees, Peace of 1659 from the rest of Catalonia and awarded France.
