Carbonized

Carbonized was a Swedish heavy metal supergroup from Saltsjöbaden, which was founded in 1988 and dissolved in 1996.

History

The band was founded Matti Kärki ( Dismember ) in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Jonas Derouche and drummer Piotr Wawrzeniuk (both Therion ), bassist Lars Rosenberg ( Therion, Serpent, Entombed ) and singer. Together they developed some pieces and published in 1991, the album For the Security, which in 1993 was followed by the album Disharmonization. In the following years, the band members devoted their main bands again and later found together again in 1996 to release the last album Screaming Machines.

Style

The band's music is difficult to assign to any one style. Influences from psychedelic rock, grindcore, progressive metal, death metal and jazz can be heard. The music is described as a mixture of Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth, Black Flag and Voivod.
