Carbost (Loch Harport)
Carbost is a village on the Scottish Isle of Skye and thus belongs to the region of Highland. It lies on the southern coast of Loch Harport about 16 km southwest of the capital of Portree and is not to be confused with the hamlet of Carbost near Portree, which is also located on the island of Skye. Carbost is known as the site, which was founded in 1831 Talisker Whisky Distillery, the only distillery on Skye and one of the most important work Submitters around.
