Carl-Göran Öberg

Carl- Göran " Lill- Stöveln " Öberg ( born December 24, 1938 in Huddinge ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player. His brother Hans Öberg was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Carl- Göran Öberg began his career as a hockey player with the Gävle Godtemplares IK, for the first team, he was from 1955 to 1960 in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league, active. With the Gavle GIK he won the 1957 national championship. From 1960 to 1968, the winger played for league rivals Djurgårdens IF, with whom he has three times in 1961, 1962 and 1963 resulted in the Swedish championship. Most recently, he was from 1968 to 1970 for the Tranås AIF in the Division 2 second-rate on the ice and then for three years until his retirement in late 1973 for Södertälje SK of the Division 1

Internationally

For Sweden took Carl- Göran Öberg at the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley, 1964 in Innsbruck and 1968 Grenoble part. At the Winter Games in 1964 he won the silver medal with his team. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1958, 1963, 1965 and 1967.
