Carl Lumbly

Carl Lumbly ( born August 14, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota ) is an American actor.

Lumbly, son of Jamaican immigrants, was the first writer for the Associated Press in Minneapolis and for various other magazines. When writing a story about a comedy theater, he discovered his live qualities and took two years as a comedian.

When he moved to San Francisco, he became friends with the still unknown Danny Glover and joined with him also. His first success in the film business was in 1981 in the television series Cagney and Lacey. In 1998, he was then seen with Halle Berry also on television in The Wedding. In 2006 he made ​​a guest appearance on the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica remake.
