Carl Melchior

Carl Melchior ( born October 13, 1871 in Hamburg, † December 30, 1933 ) was a German lawyer, banker and politician. He was head of the German financial delegation at the peace negotiations to the Treaty of Versailles.

Profession

Melchior grew up in Hamburg and was there, according to a study of law, works. In 1902, he joined as a syndic in the banking house of MM Warburg & CO, where he was in 1911 appointed Plenipotentiary.
