Carl Waaler Kaas

Carl Godager Kaas (formerly Carl Waaler Kaas, born July 28, 1982 in Oslo) is a Norwegian orienteering. His biggest success was the world champion title in the middle distance, 2010.

Life

Carl Waaler Kaas grew up in Oslo and attended the Commercial School (until 2001 ). The subsequent study of the energy and environmental engineering at the Technical and Natural Sciences University of Norway, he completed in 2010.

One of his first international success was a third place in the relay at the European Championships in 2006 and a fourth place at the Open Nordic Orienteering Championships (NOC ) 2007. 2008 he started for the first time at World Orienteering Championships. In 2009, he celebrated his first victory in a World Cup competition. 2010 Kaas repeated his third place in the season championship and won the middle distance title at the World Championships in Trondheim. With the Norwegian season he won beyond the world championship silver medal. In 2010, he also switched from the University Sports Club NTNUI to Bækkelagets SK.

He is married to Lene Godager.
