Carlo Mazzacurati

Carlo Mazzacurati ( born March 2, 1956 in Padua, † January 22, 2014 in Monselice ) was an Italian film director.

Life

Mazzacurati graduated from the University of Bologna from in literature and worked in a film club of his hometown as an animator. In 1979 he presented his directorial debut, the short Vagabondi. Eight years later, his first feature film, Notte italiana, with which it has established itself immediately as a popular director of the new Italian film followed. In 1989 the novel by Goffredo Parise Il prete bello, illuminating the issue of excommunication. Other issues the following films were the collapse of the communist systems in Eastern Europe, the attitude towards consumerism and the development of industrial society, which he knew to bring entertaining sometimes comedic form on the canvas; Mazzacurati always worked in its screenplay. Occasionally, he was working as an author or other actors for the movies.
