Carlo Weis

Carlo Weis ( born December 4, 1958 in Luxembourg ) is a former football player from Luxembourg. Weis was until 2009 most-capped player in his country until he was replaced by Jeff Strasser, who brought it up to his resignation from the National team in 2010 to a total of 98 matches. In 1990 he was chosen as a player of Avenir Beggen Footballer of the Year in Luxembourg. After his time as a player he began a career as a football coach.

On September 10, 2013 he was released after four games without a win as head coach at FC RM Hamm Benfica.

Career

His first international game he played on 22 March 1978 ( 1:3 against Poland ) at age 19, his last on May 31, 1998 ( 0-2 against Cameroon) at age 39. His only international goal is a converted penalty in the match against Portugal on 12 October 1991 ( Full 1:1).
