Carlos José Solórzano

José Carlos Solórzano Gutiérrez ( born January 17, 1860 in Managua, † April 30, 1936 in San José (Costa Rica) ) was from 1 January 1925 to the January 16, 1926 President of Nicaragua.

Life

He came as a candidate of the Partido Republicano Conservador to power. The Partido Republicano Conservador had been founded by his predecessor as president, Bartolomé Martínez González. His vice president was Juan Bautista Sacasa of the Partido Liberal. On October 25, 1925 coup Emiliano Chamorro Vargas of the Partido Conservador with the " el Lomazo " the occupation of the headquarters of the President on the Loma de Tiscapa against Solórzano. Solórzano was President, on 12 January 1926, the Parliament declared the post of Vice President for unoccupied and banished the Vice President Juan Bautista Sacasa for two years from Nicaragua, Solórzano and Chamorro resigned on January 14, 1926 took office on January 17, 1926.
