El Nuevo Diario

El Nuevo Diario ( the new daily ) is a Nicaraguan newspaper, which is published in Managua in Spanish.

The newspaper was founded in 1980 by Xavier Chamorro Cardenal, the brother of Pedro Chamorro, the former chief editor of La Prensa.

Xavier Chamorro and most of the editorial staff, accessible to the Sandinistas, were with the orientation under Violeta Barrios de Chamorro, the widow of Pedro Chamorro, disagreed.

El nuevo diario was led by Xavier Chamorro until his death on 4 January 2008. El Nuevo Diario La Prensa is next ( Managua), the most common newspaper in Nicaragua.
