Carlos Merino

Carlos Merino González ( born March 15, 1980 in Bilbao ) is a Spanish football player at the position of midfielder. Since 2011 he plays for FC Wacker Innsbruck in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Career

Merino began his professional career in England at Nottingham Forest. After a year he moved back to his home country of Spain, where he played until 2010 at various first-and second division. On 29 January 2011 he wrote to the Austrian Bundesliga team FC Wacker Innsbruck a contract until the end of the season, with a mutual option for two more years.
