Carlos Trillo

Carlos Trillo ( born May 5, 1943 in Buenos Aires, † 8 May 2011 in London) was an Argentine comic book writer who has worked with many subscribers.

Life and work

His first scenario Trillo wrote at the age of 20 years for the magazine Patoruzu. For Patoruzu and the magazine Tía Vicenta Trillo also worked in the following years. In 1973 he became artistic director of the satirical magazine Satiricon. In particular, in collaboration with Alberto Breccia emerged in the 1970s, the comic implementation of various literary classics, among other things, by the Brothers Grimm. In the 1980s Trillo worked with, among others, Jordi Bernet, Eduardo Risso, Mandrafina Domingo and Juan Giménez. In 2000, Trillo created together with the artist Walter driver the comic Mon Nom n'est pas Wilson for the Casterman. Since April 2002, he wrote the series Cazados for appearing in Buenos Aires newspaper Clarin.

Trillo was awarded the 1978 Yellow Kid. For the developed in collaboration with Mandrafina comic La Grande Arnaque he awarded the 1999 Prix du scenario at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d' Angoulême. Together with Laura Scarpa Trillo received in 2002 for As in real life: Herzstolpern the Max and Moritz Prize for Best German -language comic publication for teenagers.
