Carlota Castrejana

Carlota Castrejana ( María Carlota Castrejana Fernández, born April 25, 1973 in Logroño) is a former Spanish basketball player and track athlete who had their greatest success in the triple jump.

In 1992, she was part of the Spanish basketball team, which came at the Olympic Games in Barcelona to fifth place.

After her move to athletics, she first high jumper and 1995 and 1997 in Halle, 1996 Spanish outdoor champion. After her move to the triple jump, she won from 2000 to nine times in a row outdoors and eight times in a row in the hall the national title.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she left in qualifying. In 2001 she won the bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games, and in 2002 she was eighth in the triple jump and tenth in the long jump at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Vienna, and Eleventh at the European Championships in Munich.

A sixth place finish at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 2003 were followed by the From in qualifying at the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris / Saint- Denis and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
