Carnival in Coal

Carnival in Coal was a 1997 by Arno Strobel and Axel sausage horn in Amiens founded and until 2007 active French duo. The two musicians had known each other since 1989 from different bands.

As a goal, it was the musicians to act as a " missing link " between Mr. Bungle and Pan - Thy- Monium.

History

After Carnival in Coal in 1998 had published her first album vivalavida, appeared shortly after her cover album French Cancan with cover versions of songs by, among others, Ozzy Osbourne, Morbid Angel, Genesis and Michael Sembello.

2001 release Fear Not Carnival In Coal, which again rather anknüpfte musically to the first album.

After four years, appeared on a sublabel of Earache Records, the album Collection Prestige, the Carnival was much harder in Coal. Support for the recordings, the band of musicians from metal bands like Dragonforce, Heavenly or Wormfood had brought. With Living In The Plastic Age ( The Buggles ) a cover version was represented again.

Your first ever live appearance was Carnival in Coal in April 2006. Herein, the actual duo was reinforced by other musicians.

In September 2007, the band announced their dissolution.

Style

Carnival in Coal processed in their music a variety of influences from extreme metal, electronic music, pop to country, all decorated with off-beat humor. Arno Strobel worked as a singer, which covered the range of melodic singing over screaming to deep growls, while Axel sausage horn served as a multi-instrumentalist for the musical realization.
