Carole Landis
Carole Landis ( born January 1, 1919 in Fairchild, Wisconsin, † July 5, 1948 in Pacific Palisades, California; born Frances Lillian Mary Ridste ) was an American actress.
Career
The age of twelve she was on stage, as lolita -like a contestant in a beauty pageant. After a few minor jobs they went in 1934 to San Francisco, where she performed as a singer and a hula dancer in a nightclub. Two years later, Carole Landis had reached Hollywood, where she made her film debut in 1936.
Life and death
Carole Landis was temporarily the mistress of 20th Century Fox boss Darryl F. Zanuck, who was trying to launch her career after forces.
During the war she was active in the troop support program of the United States, their experiences, she published under the title " Four Jills in a Jeep ".
In July 1948, shortly after her return from England, where she had two films, saw Carole Landis, who was married five times, for headlines.
