Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles

Pacific Palisades is a district in the west of the U.S. city of Los Angeles ( California).

Pacific Palisades is located between Brentwood, Malibu, Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Mountains. Pacific Palisades Currently has about 27,000 inhabitants. The district is very wealthy and predominantly residential area from a mixture of large estates and small, sometimes older homes, condominiums and apartments.

There is a small central business district on Sunset Boulevard, consisting of restaurants, shops, banks and offices. This part of Pacific Palisades is also known under the name of "The Village". In addition, extensive parks are available. The Palisades Charter High School in the neighborhood has become known through numerous films such as the Halloween series with Jamie Lee Curtis.

Well-known German emigrants ( as Thomas Mann and Lion Feuchtwanger ) lived during the time of National Socialism in Pacific Palisades.

In the neighborhood are the Entenza and the Eames House, both important buildings of modern architecture.
