After this film, he only played in a few other films; he probably had not mentioned in 1944 in a uncredited role in Wilson 's last role. During his time at CBS Carroll Nye worked with Groucho Marx.

Carroll Nye was married twice, once with a woman named Dorothy, once with the actress Helen Lynch. Dorothy is mentioned on his grave stone in the Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. He was the great-uncle of Peter Nye.
