Casper Ankergren

Casper Ankergren ( born November 9, 1979 in Køge ) is a Danish football player. The goalkeeper is currently at Brighton & Hove Albion under contract.

Career

Ankergren began his career at Solrød FC before moving to Køge BK in the Danish Superliga. Finally he went to good performances to Brøndby IF. Ankergren twice won the championship in Denmark as well as the trophy. After Brøndby the former Danish goalkeeper Stephan Andersen bought, left Ankergren Denmark and was loaned to England to Leeds United. After outstanding performances oblige him Leeds United fixed for three years, the transfer fee remained unknown. At the beginning of the season 2009/10 Leeds Ankergren number two was past goalkeeper Shane Higgs. On August 6, 2010 Ankergren signed a contract with his former co - manager of Leeds United Gustavo Poyet, Brighton. He made his debut on 7 August in a 2-1 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion against Swindon Town.
