Castellane
Castellane is a commune with 1565 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Alpes- de -Haute -Provence.

Geography
Castellane is located about 80 kilometers north- west of Cannes in the mountains of Haute Provence on the Route Napoléon at 731 m above sea level. The village lies on the River Verdon, at the beginning of the Gorges du Verdon. Towering above Castellane located west of the town from 1626 m high mountain cadières de Brandis. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Verdon.
