Casticus

Casticus (Latin form, celtic: Casticos ) was a nobleman among the Sequani in eastern Gaul. He is only known from a passage of Gaius Julius Caesar representation of the Gallic War. His father Catamantaloedes had been the ruler of the tribe, according to Caesar for many years and recognized as a " friend of the Roman people " by the Roman Senate.

Approx. 60 BC Caesar Casticus was loud as well as the distinguished Aedui Dumnorix the Helvetii Orgetorix persuaded to try to wrest control of their tribes and the whole of Gaul itself. This conspiracy was discovered and stopped by the Helvetii. The fate of the Casticus Caesar makes no details.
