Bredevoort Castle is a castle in the heart of the city Outbound the former chief glory Bredevoort in the Netherlands.

An exact date of construction is unknown, but by 1188, the castle was named on a list of goods from the Electorate of Cologne. In the fight for Bredevoort Herman took on wage Count Engelbert I of the Mark caught, who died after 16 days in prison to Bredevoort. Bredevoort castle was one of the most important castles of Gelderland and disappeared through the Powder Tower disaster in 1646.
