Cataldo Cozza ( born April 13, 1985 in Remscheid ) is a German footballer of Italian descent ( Schiavonea, Calabria ). Cozza is a cousin of Gennaro Gattuso, who at the soccer World Cup in Germany with Italy became World Champion in 2006.

Career

Cataldo Cozza began his career in the youth of the FC Remscheid. In 1995, he joined the youth team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In the season 2004/ 05 he was appointed to the Second Team Bayer Leverkusen. After a season Cozza went to the 2nd Bundesliga for SC Paderborn 07, where, however, he did not play. Even during the season, he moved in January 2007 to Dynamo Dresden in the Regionalliga Nord. With the same townspeople he qualified in 2007/ 08 for the newly created 3rd league and was on 25 July 2008 in a 1-0 victory in the opening match against Rot -Weiß Erfurt his professional debut. During the winter break of the 2009/10 season Cozza was retired for performance reasons by coach Matthias Maucksch and trained by the end of the season with the second team of Dynamo Dresden.

In August 2010, Cozza signed a one-year contract with the third division Eintracht Trier, which was extended after a successful season 2010/11 Trier (Table Place two) for another year. 18 May 2012 reported Cozza, he moves to the 2012/13 season for NRW-Liga champions and regional league team FC Viktoria Köln.
