The Cataract Covered Bridge is a covered wooden bridge in Owen County, Indiana. It spans the Mill Creek in Jennings Township above the Cataract Falls.

Has necessitated the bridge after a flood destroyed a previous bridge in August 1875. The Cataract Covered Bridge was built by the Smith Bridge Company of Toledo. It is about 140 ft ( 42.7 meters ) long and was over 100 years in use. Since 1988, use vehicles with a new concrete bridge located upstream. 2004, a fundamental renewal.

In Owen County Cataract Covered Bridge is the last of its kind in Indiana, there are six bridges with a patented by Robert W. Smith timber frame. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
