Catarman is a Philippine municipality in the province of Northern Samar. It has 84 833 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). Catarman is the seat of the provincial government of the province of Northern Samar.

Education

Catarman is home to the University of Eastern Philippines ( UEP ). With 30,000 students, it is the largest university of the district of Eastern Visayas. The UEP is spread across three locations. In addition to its main campus in Catarman offices in Laoang and Catubig.
