Catubig, Northern Samar

Catubig is a Philippine municipality in the province of Northern Samar. It has 31 723 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). In the town rises the river Catubig, this leads into the Philippine Sea.

History

During the Philippine-American War Catubig was the scene of a battle between Samarnons and Americans, which lasted 15 April to 19 April and took place as a result of the Siege of Catubig.
