Cate Shortland

Cate Shortland ( born August 10, 1968 in Temora, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian writer and director for television and film.

Life

Shortland graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, where she received the Southern Star Award as a promising student. In the years 2001 to 2002, she directed several episodes of the TV series The Secret Life of Us of Australian commercial radio station Network Ten Director. 2004 won her youth drama Somersault - Like perfume in the air numerous awards. Your turned in Germany Feature Film Lore is the official Australian submission for the Academy Awards 2013 in the category " Best Foreign Film ".
