Cathy Moriarty

Cathy Moriarty - Gentile ( born November 29, 1960 in New York City ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Moriarty grew up in Yonkers. She made her debut alongside Robert De Niro in the film Raging Bull drama from the year 1980. For this role she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and for Best Young Actress in 1981. She was also nominated for an Oscar in 1981 and 1982 for the BAFTA Award.

In the action movie Kindergarten Cop (1990 ) Moriarty played the mother of the children, about which the teacher disguised as policeman John Kimble ( Arnold Schwarzenegger ) cares. In the comedy Forget Paris, she appeared alongside Billy Crystal and Debra Winger. For the lead role in the thriller Red Team (1999) she was nominated for the 2001 DVD Exclusive Award. In the comedy Analyze This 2 (2002) she played opposite Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal and Lisa Kudrow one of the major roles.

Moriarty is married to Joseph Gentile since 1999 and has three children.
