Cathy Peattie

Cathy Peattie (* November 24, 1951 in Grangemouth ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

Peattie visited the Moray Secondary School, which she left at the age of 15 years. Subsequently, she worked for nine years in an industrial company.

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 Peattie stood as candidate of the Labour Party for the constituency of Falkirk East. Well ahead of the candidate of the SNP, she won the mandate and moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament. In the following elections in 2003 and 2007 she defended her mandate. The 2011 parliamentary elections brought a change of Deputies of Falkirk East, because the SNP politicians Angus MacDonald was the first time to win the constituency for his party.
